The clatterpillar is a rectangle-shaped instrument made from small segmented pieces of wood or plastic attached together on a flexible base. An up/down/ wave pattern movement with one's hands when playing causes the pieces to make contact with each other, creating a "click" sort of sound. Based on the Japanese instrument koko-riko.
lyrics
Click clack,
Click clack,
The clatterpillar goes “click clack.”
Like a train running on its track
It goes up and down,
Down and back.
Like a train running on its track,
The clatterpillar goes “click, click, clack.”
